Although stoves may seen relatively safe for most people, stove fire usually happens when there is a gas leak or when your stove has been left on.

Awareness of cooking safety and food handling can mean the difference between a fun and tasty event and an unfortunate outcome. As most people would say, prevention is better than cure. This is the reason why a number of stove and oven manufacturers have come up with various safety devices that would make cooking safer and more secure. Usually, a flame safety device works by controlling the gas supply to your stove. It has a thermocouple which, when heated, continues to stay open. A cooling down of this thermocouple can cause the flame safety device to shut off the gas supply. This way, even if you forget t turn off your stove, you are sure that there is no gas leaking out.
